Walking the West Highland Way without your baggage is the best decision you will make on the trip !!

Our Ginger Package is excellent value. This gives you 1x multi stop bag and return transfer to Milngavie . You can leave your car at milngavie train station for free and its got cctv, We can then bring you back here to your car.

Not going back to milngavie ? You can upgrade to Glasgow city centre or Glasgow Airport.

Transfers depart from Fortwilliam daily between 3pm / 5pm. If we arrive earlier we will give you a phone to see if you would like to leave earlier.

Most people walking from kinlochleven on the last day arrive around 3pm. If you leave kinlochleven around 8am you should make the time window no problem.

Return times just over 2 hours depending on traffic.

Trains are 4.5 hours and buses are over 3 hours back.

Our return transfer passes through glencoe with stunning views. We can stop halfway in Tyndrum if needed for a leg stretch.

Dropping baggage off at Milngavie is simple

We will be waiting between 8-9am at the Milngavie train station car park 

Baggage will then be tagged and delivered to your accommodations along the route.

Please leave your bags each morning the same place you find them before 9am ready for collection.

If you’re staying somewhere not on our drop down list (Like an air bnb for example) Just click “other” when booking and type full address with postcode.

If you’re staying at Milngavie or Bearsden premier inn the night before walking we can meet you outside your hotel at roughly 7.45 for bag and tag.

Camping with Ginger Routes

If you would like us to organise and pay for your full west highland way camping route on your behalf the camping with ginger routes package is for you. This saves you time and effort looking into accommodations. The start date you give us is fixed and non refundable. Confirmation along with route details will be issued approx 48 hours after booking.
